Your role

We are looking for a special education teacher for teaching in different groups such as special education groups and individual instruction.

In the role of special education teacher, you will:

  • Take responsibility for and have insight into students' results, i.e., be attentive to each student's conditions and needs.
  • Have high expectations of students and their ability to develop.
  • Engage and stimulate students' curiosity, interest, and learning.
  • Take responsibility for relevant professional development to grow and evolve in your profession.

Together with your teaching colleagues, you will conduct high-quality teaching, constantly testing and developing methods, and working purposefully to enhance students' learning and improve results.

We offer

Teachers have subject team meetings once a week where teaching and knowledge development are discussed. Topics addressed include systematic quality work, equitable assessments, language-developing approaches, clarifying pedagogy, cooperative learning, and digital competence. Joint assessments are conducted at teacher meetings at least once a month.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for someone who has a teaching license as a special education teacher and possesses good collaboration skills, is flexible, solution-focused, and proactive.

You see collegial learning as a natural starting point for creating new and deepened knowledge.

You lead and organize the work to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and collaboration.

You follow up, assess, communicate, and document the student's knowledge development, thereby supporting the student towards an increasingly conscious learning process.

Welcome with your application!

The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's skills and thus counteracting discrimination.
